そんなものはありません。
１,５９５ドルとは、フォルクスワーゲン･セダンが、イースト･
コースト港、ガルフ･コースト港、グレイト･レイク港に陸上げさ
れたときからの指示販売価格です。
もちろん、合衆国政府の物品税と輸入税を含んでの値段です。
もちろん、ビルト-イン･ヒーター、デフロスター、ウインドシール
ド･ワッシャー、電動ワイパーと、 ４スピード･シンクロメッシュ
･トランスミッションつきの値段でもあります。
つまり、そのものの値段で、そういったものを外した経済型の値
段ではありません。
ほかにはどんな費用がかかるか？ 陸上げされてからディーラー
までの陸送費---距離に応じて４ドルから１６０ドル(平均４０ド
ル) だけです。それに、地区によっては地方消費税が加わります。
室内の感じをぐっとよくする模造草の内装だけがオプションで３０
ドルです。ほとんどの人が注文なさっています。というのは、シ
ート･カバーが不要になるからです。

There isn't any.
$1,595 is the suggested retail price of the Volkswagen Sedan as the lands
on the dock at the East Coast or Gulf Coast or Great Lakes ports of entry.
It includes the Federal excise tax and import duty.
It includes the built-in heater/defroster, windshield washer, electric
windshield wipers and 4-speed synchromesh transmission.
It's the price of the real thing: not a stripped down economy model.
What else do you have to pay? Only the charge for transporting the car from
the port of entry to the dealer $4 to $160 depending on distance. (The average
is $40.) And local sales tax, if any.
There is one optional that makes a lot of sense: the matching leatherette
upholstery, for $30 extra. Nearly everyone order it because it eliminates
the need for seat covers.
