chuukyuu Out of your work so far, please name two that you like best and tell us why you like them.

Mr.Hampel All right. Probably the one that I liked the best is the one: that won the most awards for me. Not that awards are all that important, but in this case, the commercial also worked. It made a lot of money for General Foods. It was for Jell-O Cheesecake and it was a man and a woman.
Do you know the commercial? That was my best piece of work, I think.
It was very successful; it sold a lot of cheesecake and it gained a lot of recognition for me. That was done with the help of some very good production people and a great art director and the cast. They were wonderful people. Louise Lasser, played the wife and the man was Josh Shelly.
Everything clicked, everything worked together.
An interesting sidelight: on the day of the shooting that girl had a 103° fever. She was seriously sick but whatever happened it worked for the best.
Even in her sickness, she gave a wonderful, ingratiating performance.
Since that time many people have discovered Louise Lasser and she's being used a lot in commercials but at that time, she was fairly new.
She just kept talking and he just kept eating and ignoring her. It was very simple and that's why it worked so well. It was very gratifying to me to prove that you can take something very simple like that and make such a hit, make such an impact.
