雪の休日の暖かい過ごし方を、２人のスカンジナビア人が究めました。

キャンドルの色が暖色系だと暖かく感じるが、青などは寒色系だから冷やっこいってものでもないんです。

配色を担当したのはノールウェイ人で亜麻色の髪の主のリトヴァ･ポトリロウ嬢です。彼女はテキスタイリストなんです。しかし、鬚もじゃのデンマーク人デザイナーのイェンス･キストガーに「お祝いのキャンドルの色」について確かめています。
イェンス（こう発音してください）は、チークからキャンドルにいたるまでのデザイン統括責任者ですからね。燭台をデザインしているのも彼ですし。
もっとも、キャンドルについての彼の考えは、ギリシャ系から大きくはずれたギリシャ的（？）ですが。

Here's how two snowhound Scandinavians warm up a holiday.

even the blues are as warm as the Aegean
Because the Dansk people know that
when it comes to candleglow, the Nordics
have the knack.
And so they asked their bearded Dane,
designer Jens Quistgaard-and their
flaxen-haired Finn, Ritva Puotila, to create
a candle worth celebrating.
Jens (say"yens") is a master of form in
everything from teak to tallow. His candle
column almost out-Greeks the Greeks.Classic, fluted (to catch the shadows), and
beautifully proportioned.
In fact, Dansk admired it so much they
asked him to put it on a pedestal. And from
that came his newpedestal candlestick
Solid brass and brushed steel, intriguingly
paired. The center spike fits neatly into a
hollow in the base of the candle, so that it
floatsabove the base.
Miss Puotila, (say "por-til-uh") is Dansk's
prize fabric designer, and a demon
with the dyepot So they had her come up
with a new palette of candle colors. Ritva
created a brilliant dozen, from Kumquat
through Plum Purple. Plus a frosty
Olympian white for purists.
