けど、広告のプロとしては――ね？
「母の日」の広告は、１週間から１０日前に予告していないと売り上げに――ね。
「うまいなあ」と感銘しました？
よかった、合格！
３０歳のあなたなら、もっとうまくやれるはず。
昔はお母さんを喜ばせるのは簡単でしたよね。覚えていますか？
１枚の紙にメッセージを書くだけで涙を誘っていたことを。今では
そうはいきませんよね。確かに手紙を書けばお母さんは喜んでくれ
ますが、涙が出るほど喜んではくれません。オーバックスの素敵な
プレゼントだったら小さな喜びでは済まないでしょう。お袋さんの
いつもの小言……「あら、お金は大事に使いなさいよ」がでたら、
しめたものです。

you ought to do better:
It used to be easy to please your mother. Remember? A crumbly piece of paper could bring tears to her eyes. Well, she hasn't changed. Any words you write will still make her feel happy all over. But she'll feel even happier with a little more. She won't turn down a few beautiful gifts from Ohrbach's. And if she says, like mothers always do, "Oh, you should have saved your money"... you can always tell her you did.
