いやいや、車の中を見ただけではわかりませんがね。
フォルクスワーゲンみたいに、多くの手間をかけている車は、そう
ありません。
ハンド･ワークだけというのは、驚くべきことです。
ＶＷのエンジンは、手で組み立てられます。一つ一つね。
そして、すべてのエンジンは、２回のテストを受けます。
１回はまだエンジンだけのとき、２回目は車が完成したときです。
フォルクスワーゲンは４重塗装ですが、１回塗るごとに、手で磨か
れます。
天井の内張りすら、手で張られるのです。
キズ、凹み、にかわのシミなどは、 ＶＷには見当たりません。
私たちは、車の部品（それが車全部であっても）を除外しなければ
ならないときには、断乎、そうしているんですから。

again when it's part of the finished car.
A Volkswagen gets painted 4 times and sanded by hand between each coat.
Even the roof lining is hand-fitted.
You won't find a nick or a dimple or a blob of glue on a VW because we
aren't above rejecting a piece of car (or a whole car) if we have to.
So you can see why a Volkswagen is so expensive when you figure it by the pound.
It's something to think about.
Particularly if you haven't bought one because you thought they didn't
cost enough.
